10:54 AM

I'm at the tail end of a very glorious week off, after 4 months or so of working without a day to myself. Instead of the activity I had anticipated, sleep became a silent companion at odd times. While a bit disappointing, it was actually a win/win...caught up on sleep (I think) and had some pretty intense dreams. Memory of them, after a normal night's sleep, has been hit and miss for me even after programming. I've found that the dreams during those 2 hour naps, with the same programming and intent, are usually quite easy to remember. Understanding is another story entirely...lol.

There were a number of other experiments I have been observing, in some cases arriving at some fascinating conclusions days later. One sign I requested came with a noticeable "NO" and yet the two other people involved crossed my path within a few hours. In one case, it was a very strong urge to take the stairs instead of the elevator that resulted in the "chance" meeting where crucial information was passed. It was only much later, that I understood that my answer of "NO" may really have been "Wait awhile" aided by another sign, directing me to do some reading. I don't mind admitting that I find those awareness's very exhilerating. No education is complete without mistakes and one of the experiments is a prime example that I am not immune.

Background: I had received my pay stub to find that a considerable chunk was missing, something we've all experienced, along with the instant anxiety. I contacted my boss on the Friday and she eventually met with me on Tuesday, with very mixed results. I wouldn't starve but it would be a tight squeeze and that aspect began to really annoy me. On Saturday, I turned the problem over to the Creator because the anxiety and anger was beginning to mount. In my mind, I had essentially put my life on hold for months while my employers hired somebody - and for the second time - and this was the treatment I received. (My opinion has altered a great deal since then, but we all know the effects of feeding anger and this was what I was thinking at the time.) I performed a chakra cleansing (extra attention on the 2nd chakra) after the prayer and had a short nap. Woke up feeling refreshed and without the anxiety.

Request: On Sunday, after more thought, I became curious about when I'd receive the pay that was owed me. Asking for a clear sign, within the next 24 hours, that I would recieve this money within two weeks was one of the mistakes that I made.

Observations: I did not receive any type of a clear sign. Establishing a window of 24 hours means that I have to be ultra-aware during the entire time, not an easy task. I found myself almost frantic as the end drew near so it is pretty clear that I need to do a bit more work on my detachment to the outcome. It was the following day that I realized asking for a sign regarding the result, after turning the problem over to the Creator, was a major blunder. One one hand, I was expressing faith and on the other was questioning it. Normally, I can control anger but when I realized that no sign would be arriving and I would have to wait at least three weeks until my next pay, I threw my clipboard against the wall, followed quickly by my pen...This is not me; tossing objects around has never been a way of releasing frustration and anger. Two other items may have had a significant effect on this:

1) Feeling the emotions of others - when we begin to experience emotions and feelings that have no logical source, we have to look elsewhere. From past experience, I know that I can be quite a Hoover for negative emotions. The building in which I live and work has a very broad range.

2) A new prayer?...As our situation changes, we usually adjust our prayers accordingly. I added a request (to be an ambassador of peace and light that day), with cloudy results. 3 out of the first 4 days began great but ended in anxety and depression. You know I was scratching my head over that. Both of these could well have been influencing factors in my unusual behavior.

My boss did clear it up within a few days but confirmed that the amount owing would not be issued but added to my next check. That aspect was out of her hands.

A horror movie come to life
Three Fircrest families receive death threats via cell phone. Even when the phones are off. Even when they get new phones. Maybe it’s just a long-running prank, but the reign of terror endured by three Fircrest families buries the needle on the creepy meter.

Argentina: police encounter UFO and 4 aliens
Agents of law enforcement were engaged in routine patrols of local roads. The sighting took place from a pickup truck. The figures observed were short in stature. Bracamonte and Orellano were paralyzed by the strange apportion. Residents of the fields and couple driving along the road witnessed a phenomenon having similar characteristics. The apparition of a strange unidentified flying object, preceded by a enveloping white light, and the sighting of four strange beings in the vicinity of Irene, Coronel Dorrego district, kept residents speculating as to their origin.

Sleep deprivation or a glimpse into another dimension?
A cool October breeze brushed Len Berroth as he stood at his front door in 2006. Len, of DeLand, Fla., thought he was at the end of three mostly sleepless nights and a seven-hour drive. But something wasn’t right at Len’s house. “Sleep deprivation lifted the veil between parallel plains that coexist at different vibration levels would be my guess,” Len said. “What showed itself was not of this world yet interacted with dwellings, objects, landscape surroundings as if it were theirs.”

In the West, things are decidedly tame when it comes to Satanic Panic. Churchy folks hold meetings and offer to pray when the witches come to town, and witches get generic blame for a variety of so-called "occult crimes." Actual witch trials are largely confined to the odd lawsuit. The historical accused are looked upon with sympathy and regret and often exonerated, as in the case of Switzerland's Anna Göldi.

In other parts of the world, it's as if the last two hundred years never passed. In the third world, disease is often attributed to witchcraft. In theocratic countries, it's an institutional problem. While American occultists may have to deal with unfriendly neighbors, owning the wrong books in Saudi Arabia can literally be a death sentence. So it seem that while reason is gaining ground in the West, it's definitely not winning the war.

Normally, I live and let live but after watching a recent documentary on PBS, and doing some follow-up research, I can't remain silent. The story outlined the trial of Kitzmiller vs Dover, a town that gained international awareness and finally brought the debate between creationism and evolution to a head. Several parents began to take exception when the religiously-biased school board arbitrarily decided to toss out Darwin's theories and replace them with "Intelligent Design" - ID - in the curriculum. A quote by the judge in the case, Judge E. Jones III, summed up a large part of his decision by stating, "The overwhelming evidence at trial established that ID is a religious view, a mere re-labeling of creationism, and not a scientific theory." Needless to say, the decision stung many of these so-called Christians to take some very un-christian actions.

OK, it would seem to them that using deception to get their own way is all right. One of the most appalling apects I found was the outright decietfulness that a number of the "christian" school board had apparently no problem with, even while under oath and on the witnes stand. While things are looking tense already, the self-important and self-appointed president of all Earth christians, Pat Robertson, weighs in by telling the citizens of Dover not to bother asking for anything from God because they've turned their backs on him. WTH does he think he is to pronounce a judgment like that? Even more disgusting, the judge who made the ruling has received numerous death threats along with other assorted hate mail. Come on, don't they understand the message these actions are sending out about their faith?

Just a personal abservation, but why does it have to be a battle of extremes? Many of us can recognize the underlying concept of this whole case - the unspoken one. Like countless times in our history, one group of people want control and everybody "should" see things from their faith, discipline or perspective. It's invigorating to know that changes are in the works and we don't have to look too far to see the countless ways to develop our spirituality and a connection to the God and Goddess. Why can't both of these parties see that they are both right? On one hand, I find it impossible to even consider that all this beauty around me is not a result of some kind of intelligent design. By the same token, I have no doubt that we are also a product of evolution. Evolution involves growing and learning and in many ways, I am far from the person I was, even a few years ago. I'm often reminded that the appendix for early man was designed to strain out poisons and yet we can easily live without one now. I am also convinced, beyond any doubt, that we play a huge hand in forming our future. If we were not granted free will or the ability to use it, our life would not be our own. There are few things that would leave me feeling hopeless more than the knowledge that we have no choice or input into the life we live. The religious zealots will continue to experience and vent their hate and anger, as long as they continue to maintain that their way is the only way. Evolutionists may require a personal brush with the Creator to enlighten them, as we've all experienced, but it's not something that can be forced. As far as I'm concerend, they are really just two sides of the same coin.

I mentioned a book called Sacred Signs in my last entry as being one of the most interesting and influential books I had read to date, on my spiritual journey. The author's name is Adrian Calabrese and she has posted two short but very informative articles on her site. One is entitled "Why we attract negativity and how to overcome it" and the second is called "How to work miracles in your own life". I found them to be very informative, especially the guide she lays out for miracle working. Anybody with minimal epxerience with magic will quickly identify the underlying principles.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great week.

See you in the ether !

It's depressing how people act in the name of a god, regardless of religion. There are decent people of all religions, but they are eclipsed by the-- ahem-- assholes of the bunch.
You should definitely go see the National Gallery. :)
Hah, how am I rubbing off on you?
It's good that you finally got a week off (even if it's only a week; wtf?). For your wine & all. ;)
I'm going to be a year older in a month! How very odd.

Well, it's about time you got some time off. Universe knows you've earned it - and you should have had more time off than what you got, considering how you've been pushing yourself for months. Still, I guess a week is better than nothing, eh?

Anyhooo... I'm just cruisin' the neighborhood saying hi to everyone on my list before I get to work putting up new blinds and curtains. Have a great day, my friend.

You said, "...I find it impossible to even consider that all this beauty around me is not a result of some kind of intelligent design. By the same token, I have no doubt that we are also a product of evolution. Evolution involves growing and learning and in many ways,..."

I say, "I agree with you 100% and think the battle betwix the 2 opinions is based on arrogance and deliberate stupidity."

Hey there, I hope you don't mind my popping in with my opinion. I come here often and read your entries. You always have such intriguing thoughts for me to ponder on.

Hope you have a fabulous rest of the week!

Hi Nick - thanks for visiting. The stuff going on in your building sounds pretty intense; have you ever looked into the history of it, by any chance? Sounds like the kind of place where you could probably get some pretty awesome pictures and some good EVP, if you wanted to.

Things at my house seem to be picking up the pace, so to speak - I just posted a new blog, if you're interested in reading it. I'm wondering if maybe it's time to get the old tape recorder out and try to capture some EVP...
